Where in Russia people are most satisfied with life.

Good life is not forbidden

Most of all, Russians living in Grozny, Tyumen, Izhevsk, Makhachkala and Krasnodar are satisfied with their lives. This conclusion was made by experts of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, after analyzing the results of polls of Russians. They were conducted during 2018 in 78 cities of Russia with a population of over 250 thousand people. Moreover, in each city at least a thousand respondents were polled.

“The study showed that the majority of residents of large and medium-sized cities are satisfied with the life they lead,” said Alexey Zubets, Vice-Rector of the Financial University. was the same, and in 2014 and 2015 - 83 percent. The average share of people who are satisfied with life at the end of 2018 is 81 percent. These are high rates. "
Most often, people from the most wealthy property groups rejoice in life, as well as young people, who, as we know, are not afraid of difficulties. It is noteworthy that, despite the economic difficulties experienced by Russia in recent years, the share of those who are confident in their own future also holds at a high enough level. In December last year, there were 63 percent of such people.

And in general, in 2018, the proportion of those who are fully or mostly confident in tomorrow was 62 percent. The highest index of confidence in the future, according to Jag, was in 2014. Then 66 percent of the study participants responded positively. But, as you know, at the end of 2014 an economic crisis erupted.

Today, the highest level of confidence in their own tomorrow is among residents of Izhevsk, Naberezhnye Chelny, Kazan, Ufa and Sevastopol. Probably, people have such confidence because they have a reliable specialty and a good workplace.
In December 2018, 73 percent of residents of large and medium-sized cities reported that they are confident in the future of the enterprises where they work. In general, by the end of 2018, the share of confident in the future of their enterprises amounted to 72 percent. In 2017, 75 percent of Russians were confident in the reliability of employers, in 2013-2014 - 76.

The employees of state-owned enterprises, law enforcement agencies, structures ensuring the country's military security, banks, investment and insurance companies, enterprises producing and distributing electricity, gas and water are most confident in the future of their enterprises. The highest level of confidence in the future of their enterprises is noted in Yaroslavl, Grozny, Tyumen, Krasnoyarsk and Novokuznetsk.

It is interesting that Moscow and St. Petersburg did not occupy the first lines of the rating with life satisfaction, although wages and opportunities for self-realization are among the highest in the country. It turns out that happiness is not in money. According to Oleksiy Zubets, "in the capital cities, competition for jobs and education is always higher, so you always have to prove that you are the best worker."
