CTP policy increases by 1.5 percent

How to ride and pay

As a result of the first part of the CTP reform, the policy on average, if more expensive, does not exceed 1.5 percent. For most drivers, the cost of the policy will only decrease. This was announced at a joint meeting of the State Duma committees on transport and construction and the financial market, Deputy Chairman of the Bank of Russia Vladimir Chistyukhin. According to him, since the discussion of the reform, three topical assessments have already been conducted. The latter showed that the average cost of the tariff practically should not increase, the deviation will be equal to no more than 1.5 percent.
He recalled that the goal of the reform is to make MTPL policies accessible to all, and their cost fair. With the current system for calculating the cost of policies, it turns out that a neat driver who could pay less is sponsoring reckless drivers who must pay more.
“Today, a not very neat 20-year-old resident of Krasnodar Region who does not have a driving experience and controls a completely cheap Volkswagen Touareg car, whose power is 249 hp, would have to pay an average of 26,750 rubles of fair tariff, explains on the example of Vladimir Chistyukhin. - But according to today's rules, you can assign a price of 14,200 rubles. At the same time, a neat driver, respectable, from the city of Perm, without traffic accidents, 49 years old, on the Lada Granta, with a capacity of 87 hp, should have paid 3,242 rubles. But he has to buy a policy for 5 919 rubles.
To start a reform that allows a fair price, the Central Bank proposes to expand the tariff band by 20 percent up from the upper limit and down from the bottom. The range will be from 2,746 to 4,942 rubles instead of the current 3,432 - 4,118.
